another monster bout.  In the height of economic struggle, and the recent fall of elite xc.  UFC has been lining up monster bouts in order to solidify its fan base.  The worl od fight is what they call it.  Fighters that fight on the ground, stand up, submit, and use every possible tactic to win.  Its a way of life for these guys, and the two fighters of the main event in UFC 91 prove this.  Most mma fans know the name randy couture, or captain america as many have started to call him, fought the beast known as brock lesnar.  Most people thought it was a joke when they heard that Brock Lesnar, the former WWE strar was going to join the mma world.  A But at 285 ans a freakish large body he is by far no joke.   This wa sa great fight and i recommend you let your friends know to watch it.

Evan Tanner

Though not as famous now as he was five years ago, this man was an animal and pioneer of the success of UFC fighting sadly died yesterday at the age of 29.  A ex middleweight champion who died at the age of 29 in the desert on one of his spiritual journies.  Almost foreseeing his death on his blog, he wrote about the dangers of equipment failure and the possibility of his life ending.  The official reports claims his motorcycle ran out of gas and the heat got to him while out in the desert.  He was a great fighter and a respectable man, the ufc will miss him greatly

BOLT lives up to hype (olympics)

The man who goes by the nickname the bolt definitely lives up to his nickname. By far the fastest runner at the olympics and ever in the world. What makes him so special is his size and how he can get off the blocks as quickly as a lot of the smaller sprinters. They did a comparison on espn and broke down what his 40 time would be. The fastest man in college runs around a 4.3 in the nfl its a 4.2 his would be broken down to a 3.5. That is just unheard of, I am going to post the video so you can watch him run its not that exciting because hes just so much faster than everyone else.

Tapout

If any of you are fans of mma than you should check out the show tapout. The only channel that I know that its on is versus. It follows three men who go bye the names of punk ass, the mask, and sky scrapper. Punk ass is the serious one who takes control of everything. The mask and sky scrapper are the “comic relief” of the show and always find a way to get under punk ass’ nerves. What these three guys do is go out and find up and coming fighters, check out where they are training, give them advice, and give them a big time fight to help them with there exposure. There are always big time fighters from ufc making appearances along with MR. WHITE himself. The fights are usually very good and the three main men of the show although very different are unbelievable compatible and seriously entertaining. Again if you love or even just like mma check out this show, you wont want to stop watching.

(UFC, ELITE XC, PRIDE, and so many more)

With so many emerging federations which do you think will become the best or will ufc continue to be a monopoly. Not that its a monopoly anyone would care about all people want to see is the closest thing to bare knuckle fighting we can find and thats what these leagues have given us. I use to believe that UFC would never be over taken but with great fighters emerging out of many leagues I find myself checking to see when Elite xc is on or some of the other leagues. My money is still on UFC but I think that the other leagues still have a good shot or who knows maybe there will be a few major leagues that will make it and we wont always have to pay 50 bucks for the big fights. If some of you have never watched the other leagues I would recommend elite xc and the fighter Cung Le who has definitely become one of my favorite fighters and one of the best I think I have ever seen. Heres the fight he had against Shamrock its not his best but it shows you how he can pick a good fighter apart and take some big punches.

Damn that must of hurt

Ouch i watched this video and I cringed a little bit. That is a lot of weight and i doubt this man will be back competing in this event any time soon. I hope the best for him. Sorry it is in spanish only video i could find.

But why the showers?

Hears a little fun fact for you. if you have watched the Olympic diving at all this year then you would have noticed that after every dive the divers go immediately to the shower and rinse off. I was always baffled by this because what is the point if the divers are going to go right back int he water. So I did a little searching and found this excerpt answering this most bewildering question

Divers shower in between each dive to keep their muscles warm after getting out of the pool. The temperature of the pool water and the air are usually different (the pool is usually around 80 degrees, with the air temperature between 68 and 72 degrees). This difference can cause muscle tightness. To combat this, divers warm up in either the showers or a hot tub.

What Happened

Ok so the usual gymnast usually looks somewhat like a boy and walks alittle funny. But this year was different. The girls looks like girls and not only girls, but attractive ones to for USA. I am not going to lie probably helped out in the ratings just alittle bit, but none the less made watching just alittle bit better. Don’t get me wrong the stuff they do is amazing and I am happy they get the spotlight every once and awhile because the stuff they do is insane especially for there size. But when it came to final time they chocked. China choked but we choked harder. Especially the USA captain. They still won a silver but I was hoping for a gold. Ohh well Americas gymnasts we still love you guys.

Olympics (Phelps is GOD)

If you guys did not see the mens 4×100 free I cant find a video at this time but i will keep searching and I reccommend you looking so you can probably one of the most exciting races I have ever seen! Phelps is by far the best swimmer the world has ever seen and may ever see. He has 11 gold medals for his career so far breaking the old record of 9 gold medals making him the greatest olympian of all time. He is 5 for 5 with gold medals these olympics and is going for 8 which would break the record of 7 golds in one olympic games. if you havent been watching I would start because history could def be made and the races are some of the most exciting things I have ever seen. Also mens basketball is back on track its about time.

The evolution of basketball

Besides this year basketball’s slam dunk contest had become nothing more then a last resort option for viewers to watch. The dunks began to look the same, the big names were not participating, and there weren’t any big time rivalries like the MJ and D Wilkins shows. It was there fault because dunking can only be pushed to a certain limit and then creativeness must kick in (Dwight Howards superman dunk). But then I found this online. I present to you the 720 by a man know to his fans as Air Up There. I had to watch it several times to believe it.
