Tropic Thunder
August 21, 2008
It is funny that this movie is based on the biggest and most hyped war movie of all time, because i feel like this by far was one of the biggest and most hyped (advertised) movies in awhile. The preview seemed like it came out like 6 months ago. A cast of huge names like ben stiller, jack black, and the mega god right now robert downing junior give this movie the star power it needs to succeed. Not to mention the camio roles of mathew mcanahey or however you spell it, toby macguire, the guy from hamlet 2, and a mega star you will have to find out your self back this already huge stars. The movies got action comedy, emotion, and did I mention comedy. Downing junior stole the show for sure, but the secret star had to be a close second. This movies got twists and turns that you wouldn’t believe and is cleverly put together. I think it lived up to its hype and is defiantly worth getting the theater experience for. You wont regret it.

Elephant?
August 20, 2008
So after a few nights of excessive partying i decided tonight would be the night i just kicked it at the casa. Me and my roommates had rented like 30 movies form blockbuster because of some deal and i decided what could be better then a nice beer and a movie out of the new giant of a tower blockbuster rental. My pick was elephant. Though the movie was made in 2003 I had never really gotten around to watching it and wasn’t to sure what it was about. It follows several high school students through a dramatic day of there life in showing each in a different way. This movie was insane. Thats all I got to say. If you have time rent it, it will defiantly have an effect on you. And yes I know I write about alot of movies, but what can I say, i’m a movie man.

so if you have comcast and you bored as hell one day I suggest you go into the free on demand movies and check out the diamond in the ruff “Breaking Dawn.” Probably the king of b rated movies it keeps you at the edge your seat the whole time. There is a huge turn at the end that none of us saw coming. I don’t know if it is rent worthy but its free and a entertaining on a boring weekday night. I couldn’t find pictures sorry. Pineapple express
August 6, 2008
So Me and pretty much the rest of the valley went to go see pineapple express last night at 12 o clock. Let me tell you this movie does not disappoint. So what the plot is one of the most ridiculous things i have ever heard or seen, and the movie takes you in so many directions you feel as if your lost. All in all your paying for a cheap laugh and a good time with your friends. They play high rolls a little to well if you know what I mean, and Seth Rogan continuously decides to show off his smoking skills throughout the movie. Not to mention I witnessed like 4 different groups ripping a bong during the movie. If that doesn’t spell out cult classic I wonder what does. I recommend to and comedy fan or stoner alike. James Franco the new age drug dealer.

Step Brothers
August 1, 2008
With much skepticism I took my girlfriend to go see the new Will Ferrell movie Step Brother. It not that I dont like Will Ferrell i personally think he is hillarious it is the fact that Semi Pro was just above average and the Dewie Cox movie totally blowed. But let me tell you this is a must see. If you like the mindlessness comedy of Will Ferrell then you are in for an hour and a half of just that. Not to mention i just find it hillarious to find two grown men cussing at the top of there lungs on every other word. I promise you that after this movie you will be quoting it like you did with Anchorman or old school. Though the ending was not my favorite I found that the overall picture as a whole was extremly satifiying and worth the crazily priced 10.75 movie ticket. So much for the cheap casual date huh.

The Dark Knight
August 1, 2008
The Dark Knight came out on July 18 and i went to the Thursday midnight showing. My girlfriend and I met up with a couple of some friends around 930 PM! And we still were in the back of the line. There were some hardcore fans who came extra early and dressed up for the ocassion as Batman and The Joker. We finally got in around 1130 where we waited with anticipation for the lights to go down. Cheers filled the theatre as the movie started and as it ended. This will definitely go down as one of the best Batman’s in movie history. Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker was unbelievable and i don’t think i can see anyone else playing The Joker. I really recommend watching the movie if you already haven’t.
Why so serious?
